Petit message de IT BITES : "There has been much speculation as to why we cancelled our appearance at the CRS concert in Rotherham last Saturday at such short notice. The band had been hugely looking forward to the concert, and the opportunity to play some new songs as well as vary the set with some long unheard tracks from the past. A three-day rehearsal was planned, but on the third day of rehearsals, Dick Nolan didn't show up. Bob spoke to him on the phone to check that Dick would still play at the gig on Saturday, and he confirmed. However, on the day of the concert, Dick didn't turn up at the agreed location, and after repeated attempts to contact him all morning and early afternoon, the band realised they would regrettably have to cancel the show. Dick still hasn't got in touch with any of the band. We are acutely aware of the huge disappointment, inconvenience and financial loss suffered by many of you who attended, or planned to attend the show, and we would like to assure you that it is our full intention to make things up to you all for the loyal support and understanding you have shown. A rescheduled concert for the Classic Rock Society will be arranged as soon as possible, with tickets from last Saturday obviously being valid. It Bites WILL play this weekend's Summers End Festival with a stand-in bass player who we are rehearsing with now, but we are unfortunately still unable to offer any information regarding Dick's position and future with It Bites until he contacts us. Whatever happens, we are going ahead with plans to record our new album after much positive feedback from those of you who have heard the demo tracks. Once again we would like to thank everyone for your continued support and understanding, it is hugely appreciated. John, Bob, and John It Bites"
